Acirfa Team

The Acirfa team seeks to compel the international community to change the world through bikes. Through building donor relationships, media contacts, NGO partnerships, and corporate sponsorships Acirfa has effectively supported the Zambikes team in providing high-quality bikes into the hands of underprivileged Zambians.

Dustin McBride – Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

vaughnAfter graduating from Azusa Pacific University with a degree in International Business, Dustin partnered with Vaughn to co-found Acirfa in the states and start Zambikes in Zambia. Implementing the vision for Acirfa has been a fulfillment of Dustin’s dream to work for an organization that has a divine purpose and connects him with people from all over the world. Dustin lives in Lusaka, West Zambia and provides leadership training and professional consultation to the Zambikes Management Team and Sales and Marketing Team. His discernment and strength in developing others enables him to  maximize the skill sets of the Zambikes team members. When in the states, Dustin will most likely be found in San Diego with his family, sharing with others about changed lives in Zambia.

Vaughn Spethmann – Chief Operations Officer (COO)

vaughnVaughn grew up in San Diego and also graduated from Azusa Pacific with an International Business Degree in 2007. Since graduation, Vaughn has passionately pursued  the implementation of Acirfa’s vision as Chief Operations Officer and Executive Vice President.  Vaughn also lives in Lusaka, West Zambia, mentoring and training the Zambikes team in business fundamentals, operating procedures, and planning for the future. Vaughn’s ability to connect and relate to the Zambikes team members has allowed him to witness many changed lives in Zambia. In his free time, Vaughn can be found playing on the soccer field with Kapampa Goaz in Lusaka West.

Adrienne Rouse – Director of Operations

Adrienne Rouse Native to the Central Coast of California, Adrienne attended Azusa Pacific University and graduated with an International Business degree in 2006. Pursuing her interest in other cultures, she studied Spanish and volunteered with the Board of Tourism while living in Costa Rica.  Drawing upon her organizational experience and passion for helping others, she now aims to connect the US community under a common desire to change lives in Africa. She  seeks to challenge others to be deliberate in transforming that desire into actions that have a global impact.

Daryl Funk – Product and Partnership Development Director

pic to come From his home in Denver, Colorado, Daryl designs and fabricates professional mountain bikes. Since joining the Acirfa team in 2007, Daryl has provided unparalleled leadership and experience in the development of the Zambikes bicycles and bicycle trailers. Daryl utilizes his talents and expertise to actively pursue his mission to provide affordable, quality transportation to the developing world. With compassion, Daryl mentors and trains the Zambikes team in manufacturing products of the highest quality.

Jessica Congelliere – Director of Development and Marketing

IMG_5546Jessica joins us from World Vision International in Monrovia, CA, where she has been for the last two and a half years. Jessica received her degree in Business Finance from Azusa Pacific University. In 2007, she traveled to Nigeria to work with a small women’s microfinance development initiative, called Home Makers. There began her passion for bringing resources and business skills to the entrepreneurial poor. At World Vision, Jessica launched their Bikes for Africa campaign stateside to support the distribution of bicycles to World Vision clients and children. She recruited and led a cycling team of over 80 athletes to raise funds for these projects and brought light to a new area of development concerning transportation and mobility for the poor. Living in Southern California, Jessica is an avid cyclist and loves teaching and training new and experienced road cyclists to ride in local recreational events.
